This year in 6th grade, we'll develop a deeper understanding of the Earth through the exploration of the rock cycle, phenomena that shape the Earth, and Earth's history. You will explore the formation and weathering of rocks and how different soil types are found. The Earth Science curriculum includes a deeper exploration into rocks, rock layers, and fossils. The concept of energy is integral throughout the study in earth, life, and physical sciences taught at Slauson Middle School.
